2012 Convention Award Winners Named
At NYSHFA/NYSCAL’s 63rd Annual Convention, a total of 21 winners from the Foundation’s James D. Durante and Ruth E. Stafford Nursing Scholarship Program; NYSCAL’s Employee of the Year and Volunteer of the Year Awards Programs; and NYSHFA’s Employee Recognition, Innovative Practice, and Volunteer of the Year Awards Programs were honored. These well-deserving individuals were presented with their awards on June 26 at the Awards Program/Installation Banquet at the Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing, NY.

Nursing Scholarship Awards
The Foundation for Quality Care is pleased to announce the recipients of the Nursing Scholarship Program. The James D. Durante Scholarship assists students pursuing licensure as a registered nurse and registered nurses pursuing advanced degrees in nursing. The Ruth E. Stafford Scholarship assists staff currently working in skilled nursing facilities in pursuing education to become registered or licensed practical nurses. The winners will each receive a $1000.00 award. They are as follows:
